Tooth sensitivity is very common and is associated with pain or discomfort when taking cold/hot drinks, sweets, or even cold air. Normally, when the enamel is damaged, this causes substances to reach the nerve endings and thus causing sensitivity. The sensitivity makes brushing and flossing quite painful. Sensitivity is one of the signs that dentist attribute to either a cracked or abscessed tooth. The remedy for sensitive teeth is varied depending on the root cause. Sealants and fillings are the most viable treatment options.
